It is that time again! FIRST FRIDAY is tomorrow, March 2 and it is going to one of the BEST yet! At 8PM the Vegas BURNING MAN Chapter is going to BURN a 20-foot wooden sculpture of “Lucky Lady Lucy” the Showgirl – just 2 blocks away from Skin City Studio on the NE corner of 3rd Street and Colorado Ave. There will be fire dancing, a performance by the Burning Man Opera and much more….
Come for the burn and stop by Skin City before or after! We are having a live BODY PAINT DEMO from 6-11PM on a new model – the Vegas Dancer ESTELLE – painted by the famous ALLISON HALVER of www.BodyArtByAllison.com. Allison has a fun, graphic body paint style all her own and she is visiting Vegas from Chicago to show Sin City what she can do!!! Allison is going with a retro 1960’s theme – with hair and makeup by Vegas makeup artist MEGAN! Speaking of retro – our wonderful neighbors RETRO VEGAS are having the Grand Opening of their new space just a couple doors down at 1131 S. Main St. – 4 times bigger than their old space – with incredible eye candy for any Retro Vegas fan! Hit them up when you visit us!
Skin City will also be featuring the return of Vegas’ own DJ ACCRO – he will be spinning tunes all night as well as hosting a live audio-visual simulcast from our Studio / Boutique! Also on display will be artwork by resident painter STEVE HORLOCK, and a very unique cross-generational painting experiment between myself and elderly Las Vegas painter NORMA JEAN STERNS that needs to be seen to be understood…
