3D Effects for Bodypainting

Skin City Body Painting is proud to bring you a class to expand your body painting toolbox for the upcoming fall holidays. Instructor Matthew Humble (@lord_insomniac) will share some unconventional ways to utilize liquid latex to create fast 3D effects that will take your designs to the next level with minimal prep work and fast results. We will be going over techniques such as zombie skin textures, fake wounds, how to make vines, tendrils and create textured appliqués such as scales for you to use in future creations. 

With Día de los Muertos and Halloween coming up, this class aims to inspire your creativity using something as simple as liquid latex and things you have around the house. We will also be sculpting very simple 3D appliqués like those pictured for those who like sculpting their own pieces. Application will follow the process of creating our pieces.

You are not required to bring anything for the class, but you may want to bring your own brushes and lightweight items you would like to incorporate into your appliqué such as gems, feathers, or fake leaves. 

Attire: Please wear clothing you don’t mind getting ruined if it gets latex on it and/or bring an apron.
